The series Happy Days is inspired by the fleeting beauty of everyday places, exploring the beach huts along the Dutch North Sea coast as quiet symbols of memory, refuge and contemplation.

Blurring the boundaries between painting and photography, Paloma’s images create vibrant, graphic compositions in which the huts, human presence and coastal landscape come together in a celebration of life. Beneath their colourful surfaces lies a fascination with the relationship between humans and nature, and the tension between the built environment and the ephemeral.

Both intimate and full of life, the series invites viewers to pause and rediscover the hidden beauty of places that seem simple and familiar.
